Late Spring 2019 found us deep in an endless run of cold, gray days, and we found ourselves literally sighing for the warmth, light, and color of Summer. With barely a thought, we knew the perfect theme for our table at this year’s Celebration of Tables charity fundraiser. We christened our display, “Sighing for Summer”, and we dove right in gathering elements to create an oasis of tropical escape. To begin, we dipped into our beloved collection of mismatched blue & white tableware, choosing the most exotic patterns from among them. We then played against the traditional, elegant vibe of the dishes by combining them with loads of tropical greenery, sleek modern glass, rush placemats, West Indies inspired accent fabric, and a plethora of fresh citrus. Peonies, double tulips, gloriosa lilies, protea, & ranunculus were accented with tangerines, grapefruits, & limes to form a sumptuous floral runner whose scent & colors infused our entire setting with their vibrant energy & warmth.

Imagine exchanging your vows in a sunlit wooded glen during the height of summer, then celebrating at a table delicately set just for two. The tablescape from this June styled shoot features a tumbling urn of coral charm peonies, garden roses, fragrant tuberose, sprite scabiosa, & fern foliage paired with romantic settings of vintage china, pale pink glassware, & antique linens, inspiring visions of a simple yet exquisite summer wedding.

Crafted in the Spring of 2018, we took a bit of inspiration from the upcoming wedding of Meghan Markle & Prince Harry to create this visionary tablescape for friends gathering to celebrate a couple’s new life together. The fern print salad plates served as the jumping off point for this table’s visual scheme, and we surrounded them an eclectic mix of vintage glassware, rustic wood, nubby moss, & luscious florals to create this modern yet richly detailed setting. Subtle themes of rings & unfurling fronds hint at the blossoming romance and the nuptials soon to come, while overhanging branches, ferns, & flowers heighten the sensation of dining deep in the woods.
